Intimacy & Consent Culture Practices

Workshops and Lectures

In theatre, film, TV, and creative workplaces, intimate moments, simulated sex scenes and vulnerable interactions demand more than instinct. They require care, skill, and clear consent.

This training helps institutions, educators, artists and creative teams build cultures where knowledge and creativity thrive together.

Your facilitator- Lexie Koren

I bring over two decades of experience from the creative industries as a performer, writer, and educator, working across stage, screen, and radio. My artistic career has included collaborations with institutions such as the BBC, NRK, Den Nasjonale Scene, Soho Theatre, The Oval House, Det Norske Teatret, Actors for Human Rights, and Late Night shows in Latin America. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding of storytelling, embodiment, and power dynamics deeply informing my approach to intimacy work.

As an educator, I’ve developed and led the first university-level course in Intimacy Coordination and Consent Culture at Kristiania University College, where I now serve as a researcher at the Institute of Performing Arts. My current work focuses on developing pedagogies that support paradigm shifts in how intimacy is approached in education and the arts.

Internationally, I’ve been a presenting lecturer at Berlin University of the Arts, a guest lecturer at Kabelvåg Film School (UiT), and served as Core Faculty member for Spain’s first intimacy coordination certification at ESCAC, the Barcelona Film School.

My professional training includes courses with Lizzy Talbot, TIE (Theatre Intimacy Education), IDC (Intimacy Directors & Coordinators), PIP (Principal Intimacy Professionals) who have been my main mentors allowing me to bring trauma-informed, creatively engaged, and industry-aware practices into every classroom, rehearsal, and consultation.
